Jan's performances are highly adaptable for almost any kind of event or location.

"I work in a huge range of situations. Private parties, formal dinners, office parties, weddings, trade shows, training events, you name it! I've worked on boats, small and large, in village halls, private houses, big hotels, pubs, cafes, castles, shops, offices, theatres, exhibition halls and once, memorably, in the back of a stretch limo for a hen party!"

Jan understands that cost is always a concern, and is happy to discuss the dreaded "financials" with any prospective client at the beginning of the process.

"All clients have different needs, so it's very hard to quote a price without some discussion, but I can usually work with the client to suit their budget. Obviously, I want to work and the client wants value for money. I like to think that all my clients end up happy that they've paid a reasonable fee."

Jan works hard with all his clients to ensure that their exact requirements are met. Jan does not accept bookings unless he is sure that he can deliver what the client wants.

"I want my clients to be safe in the knowledge that they are dealing with a professional. I'll discuss with them what they want and what I can do. If I don't think I'm the right choice for them, I'll say so. I'd rather have a discussion that results in no booking, than a booking that leaves a client dissatisfied."

Jan takes a pride in his professional approach to the inevitable administration side of the business.

"When I take a booking, I guide the client through the process and they get a no-nonsense, plain English contract that shows clearly what we've agreed."
