A contest with the highest prize money in UK magic to be won
A contest where the only judges are the general public.
A contest with no stage, no seats, no lights, no microphone.
A contest where the only rule is TO BE THE BEST!
For the first time ever, a major Magic Competition with no marks for technical skill, no marks for difficulty, no marks for knucklebusting. ALL THAT MATTERS IS ENTERTAINMENT!
This is the Loch Ness Magic Challenge, where the only voice that counts belongs to the audience and the winner is decided solely by the votes of the general public. Organised as part of NessFest, a major Highland arts festival managed by the Feis Gleann Albainn group, The Loch Ness Magic Challenge is the invention of Magician Jan Culshaw, a resident of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness.
Fort Augustus is a major tourist destination, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world each year. With no formal performing space, the Loch Ness Magic Challenge competitors will have to use all their skills, wit and street magic tactics to gather an audience and persuade them that they are worthy of the Challenge Trophy. The name of the game is entertainment and the only judge is the audience.
